Statement after 14 months:

 "When deciding upon a transplant, one of the main factors for me in choosing Dr. Hussain, was his very frank approach. The internet consultation with the initial photos works well, and he gave me a very clear idea of what to expect (and also what not to expect which is equally important I think).

Arriving in Pakistan was very comfortable and the bed and breakfast at the clinic is of wonderful comfort and quality. The fact that Dr. Hussain lives in the same house with his family is also a calming factor, if you for any reason should feel uneasy during the night for instance. We had a very thorough talk and "walk through" of the proceedings, and all was clear to me.

There was practically no discomfort during the operation or the days after. My operation took four days. After the mornings' work, you have an excellent lunch together with the staff and household, before going to the second half of the day in the operating theatre. In the evening we would go out for dinner at one of the great restaurants in town, enjoying the wonders of Pakistani cooking. Very relaxed all of it. Dr. Hussain has a wonderful sense of humour which didn't leave a single doll moment my visit. I stayed a few days after my procedure to rest and read. Also this was when I started the portrait of Dr. Hussain and his charming wife Shamar.

I have had no problems whatsoever during the year that has passed. I had told my long time hair dresser in Copenhagen, that I had a surprise for him when he saw me for the first time after nine months. (He is used to the fact that I'm abroad for long periods of time and therefore is absent from his salon.)  The only thing he remarked was that I looked exceptionally rested and that my hair was in very good shape. He could not believe that I had had a transplant when finally I told him!
