The patient used a hairpiece before the operation. To make the hairpiece stick he had his sides on the top of the head trimmed which can be seen on the top-view pictures.

After a single FUE procedure the patient threw out the hairpiece. Some consider FUE to be a very expensive procedure. However, it's far more reasonable than paying 2000-4000 euro/year for a hairpiece that will never really become yours.
