Specialist in FUE Hair Transplantation - Dr. Mohammad Mazhar Hussain

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE is the most advanced and lenient way to extract hairs from the donor area for a hair transplant.

Dr. Hussain is a "FUE-only" surgeon, and combines FUE with the lateral slit technique to implant hairs in the recipient area. Together, these methods ensure a completely natural appearance without visible scars in the donor area.

While many patients suffering from hair loss are mainly focused on getting hair, it's important that the surgeon not only restore hair to the balding areas, but also that the restored hair look natural.

What is FUE hair transplantation?

Hair naturally grows in what is called Follicular Units containing 1-4 (or even more) hairs. In a Follicular Unit Extraction hair transplant the follicular units are removed individually from the donor area.

In FUE hair transplantation donor hair can be extracted from nearly any part of the body. Usually the sides and back of the head, the chest and back are used.

Put shortly FUE hair transplantation surgey means:

These are all good reasons that explain why patients travel half the world for an operation with Dr. Hussain.

FUE can help disguise earlier strip-scars

Many patients come to Dr. Hussain for repair work after strip-surgery hair transplants, thereby increasing the total cost of strip-surgery. You may want to compare FUE transplantation and strip-surgery before deciding for FUE or FUT as a means of treating your hairloss.

Body Hair Transplant

As each follicle is extracted individually literally any site of the body can be used as a donorarea. This is especially useful for patients that have limited donorhair on the sides and the back of the head. No other method of hair transplantation allows this. Bodyhair extracted by FUE has brought much relief to patients with limited donorarea on the head.

Titanium punches ensure an unnoticable donorarea

Dr. Hussain uses refined titanium punches in the extraction of donorhair. Titanium punches provide the smallest external and internal diameter. Dr. Hussain mostly uses punches with an inner diameter of .75 - .8 mm and Dr. Hussain is able to extract follicles containing 2 hairs/graft on average. One major advantage of a FUE transplant is that there is no stitching of the FUE donor area.

If required, smaller punches can be used. But keep in mind that if only onehair grafts are extracted the total area of a smaller punch may be higher and the only one to benefit may be the clinic or the surgeon.

Disadvantages with FUE

The primary disadvantage with FUE is that it requires much more physician time and therefore is more expensive. On the other hand patients complain about scarring and absent surgeons during strip-surgery. FUE surgery in Pakistan makes FUE hair transplantation not only possible but also affordable. Hairloss patients has an option thus have an option of restoring their hair without compromises.
